Hi!

I am thrilled to be a part of the Symposium class! While I have not yet read any of Foer's novels, commentary that I've heard about the author has been uniformly positive, and I am really looking forward to studying his work in detail. I believe that something really special about the Symposium class is that the students have the chance to really get to know the author. Last year, the Hornby class did a fantastic job of getting the KO community excited about his visit. The students taught about Hornby as a person as well as Hornby as a writer. I'm also looking forward to beginning the summer reading because these novels will be the first opportunity to learn about who/what shaped Foer as a writer, and will start interesting discussions for a fun semester!!
