Tofurky!

today in class, i told the story of my first experience with tofurky (today during lunch), and afterwards i was curious as to what tofurky really is, so when i got home this afternoon, i decided it was time to do some research.

Did you know...
- the first tofurky was introduced in 1995
- tofurky is actually a brand by turtle island foods, inc (sold at whole foods if you care)
- most common way to eat tofurky is in a "tofurky roast" -- "The Tofurky® Roast is a pre-cooked vegetarian feast designed to be the delicious centerpiece of your holiday or everyday meal. Made from a revolutionary tofu-wheat protein blend, our famous Tofurky® Roast is known for its incredible, turkey-like texture and flavor. Stuffed with wild rice and whole wheat bread crumb stuffing, this roast carves and cuts just like turkey but without the bones."
sounds gross, but actually very good!

i just found the whole concept pretty entertaining, and i'm glad that i got to try it. i highly recommend it to anyone! and if you want more information on tofurky, here's where i got my info: http://www.tofurky.com/index.html
