Vegetarianism

We talked a lot about whether or not Foer is not trying to make a case for vegetarianism in yesterday's class, and it came up a lot again in this past chapter. (Slices of Paradise/Pieces of Shit). This was the chapter that made the most impact on me: some of the abuse he wrote of that goes on in farms made me sick to my stomach. I think at this point Foer is making a case for vegetarianism. As well as inserting his own opinion even more in this past chapter, he is using a shock value, and it is working. After reading the past two chapters I have no desire to eat meat, and whether or not that type of reader reaction is Foer's true intentions, he has certainly convinced me.
