I Dare You To Move

My song is called "I Dare You To Move" by Switchfoot. This song is about being paralyzed by fear and loss. It's impossible to start over, but moving on with what you learned from the past can help the future have hope. It reminds me of the story "Joe", because Joe constantly is plagued by his feeling of loss (the dog, fishing, the love of his family) and his wife's feeling of loss (ideas, Joe). They both try to move forward by going back and learning from past mistakes (she carries around a notebook, he tries to connect with his wife). At the end of the story, they both take a step forward, and so does the main character in the music video. One line that really jumps out at me from the song is "Maybe forgiveness is right where you fell", which made me think of the ending of "Joe".
