Hello all,
Business Cards: In talking to both classes today, it looks like FoerX (on Nov. 29th) will be the best time to hold our business card party. So, give blank business cards to whoever finds yours, and tell them to come to my classroom during 4X on the 29th. We can throw all of their business cards into a drawing for a Barnes and Noble gift card. I'd also like for some of you to sign up to bring in some baked goods. I'll send a sign up around this week.
Foerfest: December 2nd is rapidly approaching. So, please start thinking about other potential stations we can have.
Here are ideas from our Foerfest committee:
1. Black out poetry (from newspapers, song lyrics, stories) with Sharpies
2. Cornell box station (and possibly display some of the art students' Cornell boxes here too).
3. Create your own business card (this may be repetitive since a few of the English teachers are having their students create business cards while reading ELIC).
4. Vegetarian recipe table: assemble your own cookbook of vegetarian recipes from photocopied recipes.
5. T-shirt selling
Other ideas for stations? Something meta perhaps? Please post any ideas you have to the blog, and let's get a thread going.
This week, I'll be e-mailing your parents if you volunteered them. If you'd like to take their name off the list or add a name, just let me know.
