A case for eating dogs

The more I read of this book the more I consider staying vegetarian for an extended period of time. In my house my dog, Millie, is the most prized / important / loved / favorite / best treated member of the family. My parents treat her like a princess and my friends often comment on the peculiarity of her lavender body spray, toothbrush, massage appointments, gourmet meals and sleeping arrangements. We talk to her like she is a person as she knows the deepest secrets and bears heaviest burdens of my family. To "make a case for eating dogs" sort of opened my eyes even more to the idea of vegetarianism. My family would literally do anything for Millie and to even consider slaughter is completely barbaric. Im pretty sure my parents would actually rather us children be slaughtered than our beloved Millie. He is really showing me from a usually ignored perspective what eating animals really is without being to pushy.
